The book "Live-in Relationship in Indian Society" explores the intricate dynamics of cohabiting unmarried couples in India. It looks at the legal, cultural, and sociological viewpoints on this increasingly common occurrence. The book explores the complexities of familial acceptance, societal shame, and individual independence through anecdotes, real-life tales, and research findings.
The journey of Indian society's attitudes regarding live-in relationships—from taboo to contemporary acceptance—will be explored by readers. The book looks at the difficulties that couples encounter, such as legal issues, familial rejection, and social judgment. It also highlights the benefits that come with living together, like companionship, support from one another, and personal development for both parties.
Through a fair and impartial depiction of the advantages and disadvantages, rights and obligations, and the emotional terrain involved, "Live-in Relationship in Indian Society" seeks to promote comprehension and discussion on this developing aspect of Indian society. It acts as a roadmap for people negotiating these kinds of relationships as well as for legislators, the general public, and others who want to redefine standards and foster an atmosphere that is more welcoming and equal.
