Society, Culture, and Development: An Interdisciplinary Approach explores the dynamic interconnections between social structures, cultural values, and developmental processes in contemporary societies, emphasizing that development extends beyond economic growth to include social equity, cultural identity, environmental sustainability, and human well-being. Drawing insights from sociology, anthropology, economics, political science, and environmental studies, the book critically examines how culture shapes development policies, governance systems, education, health practices, and community transformation in both local and global contexts. It addresses pressing issues such as globalization, urbanization, social inequality, cultural change, environmental challenges, and social vulnerability while highlighting the importance of inclusive participation and culturally responsive development strategies. By integrating theoretical perspectives with practical applications, the book provides students, researchers, academicians, and policymakers with a comprehensive understanding of development as a multidimensional and socially embedded process, encouraging interdisciplinary thinking to promote sustainable, equitable, and culturally informed societal progress.
